Event - Fruit Picking

Event - Fruit Picking
From AUD $0.00
  • Duration: 5 Hours (approx.)
  • Location: Lower Chittering, WA
  • Product code: PCABTJ

Fruit picking with Foodbank WA is a practical, boots-on-the-ground way to support fresh food rescue.

We partner with local growers and producers who are willing to donate surplus fruit. With volunteer support, we can harvest produce that might otherwise go to waste and redirect it to charities, schools and community programs across Western Australia.

From 3 to 7 August, we need teams of up to 10 each day to help us pick mandarins that will go directly to our Perth and Regional branches, Mobile Foodbank and School Breakfast Program.

Location: Gibb’s Farm – 1364 Chittering Road, Lower Chittering
Time: 8am to 1pm
Some snacks and water provided

Let’s get picking and make a real difference together!

This is an active, outdoor volunteering opportunity that suits teams who enjoy working together and seeing immediate impact from their efforts. Every crate picked helps provide fresh, nutritious food to people experiencing food insecurity.

What to expect
You will spend the morning harvesting fruit alongside other volunteers. Tasks are simple and clearly explained. No experience required.

As this is an early morning outdoor activity, please dress for the weather! Ponchos, raincoats and gumboots are encouraged.
